Waste Water

Supervision of execution of:
- Wastewater networks and connections in various localities (33 km approximately with diameters from 200mm to 400mm).
- Pumping stations and pumping lines in the following localities:
- Hidab (Capacity=3l/s, TMH=38m): to connect to Hidab/Saidoun main collector
- Saidoun (Capacity=1.5l/s, TMH=40m): to connect to Saidoun main collector
- Maknouniyeh (Capacity=2l/s, TMH=42.5m): to connect to wastewater line from Maknouniyeh to Qaitouleh Wastewater Treatment Plant

The project covers the wastewater systems within Bisri Dam Upper Catchment area. The studied components can be summarized as follows:
- Networks and House Connections for an estimated total length up to 100 Km.
- Collection component
- Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) component (7 STPs with estimated residents from 1,000 to 60,000 per STP in 2040)
The services inlcude:
- Work, Budget & Quality Plans, Inception Report and Prequalification Documents
- Master Plan Study
- Data Collection, survey, Investigation, Testing, and 50% Design Report
- ESIA Study
- Design and Tender Documents (DBO basis) for the Sewage Treatment Plants
- Design and Tender Documents for the Pumping/lifting Stations, Collectors & Networks
- Expropriation Documents

Supervision of construction of wastewater conveyors of about 31.5 km long for diameter ranging from 200mm to 1500mm in Batroumine, Deddeh, Ras Masqa, Qalamoun and Tripoli in addition to lateral sewers in Batroumine area.

Supervision of Construction of Emergency Sea Outfall in Tabarja:
- Diameter 1000 mm
- Length 400 m with diffuser

Establishment of wastewater networks and WWTPs in Zones 5-6mB (Maaser Beiteddine, Beiteddine, Deir el Qamar, Baaqline, Dardourite, Ouadi Dardourite, Ouadi Bnahley, Ouadi ed Deir, Kfarhim, Dmit el Borraniyye, Serjbal , Benouati and Jahliyye) and Zone 7 (Aammiq, Knaisse, Deir Kouche, Bchetfine, Kfarfaqoud, Deir Baba, Dmit el Jouaniyye) of the Chouf (two WWTPs, one biofilter WWTP in Serjbal-capacity 61,500 PE in 2035 and 92,250 PE in 2050 and one WWTP in Deir Baba--capacity 17,500 PE in 2035 and 26,500 PE in 2050). The works include:
- Inception report,
- Topographic survey and geotechnical investigation
- Preliminary Design Report,
- Detailed Design of networks and conceptual design-build of WWTPs
- Tender documents preparation
- Assistance during tendering.

Environmental Management Plan and analysis of alternative as per the Ministry of Environment Decision 8633/2012

Data collection in coordination with municipalities and various concerned authorities, topographical surveys, design and tender documents preparation for wastewater networks for approximately 70 localities

Master Plan, feasibility study and environmental impact assessment for the following basins :
- Basin downstream Bisri Dam including 15 localities
- South-Eastern Basin of Jezzine including 9 localities
Revision of existing studies, detailed designs and tender documents preparation for wastewater projects in Jezzine and various localities. Evaluation of Contractor's offers.

- Preliminary design of the activated sludge WWTPs in Mejdlaya (66,000 PE in horizon 2050) and Bchetfine (30,000 PE in horizon 2050)

Detailed design and tender documents preparation for the construction of the Emergency Sea Outfall in Tabarja (lenght 400 m with diffuser), including rehabilitation of the existing Jounieh pumping station and its connection to the outfall.

- An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Ghazir WWTP (upflow bioereactors “biofilters” process, capacity 320,000 PE in horizon 2040) and the Ghazir PS4 pumping station. The ESIA has taken into account the presence of the WWTP and pumping station within a sensitive touristic area comprising the Casino du Liban and the Jounieh bay as as well bathing zones. The impacts and mitigation of the overflow of the WWTP and pumping station have also been addressed in this respect./span>
